There is the Cthonic concert today at the HighLine: the band supports Taiwan's entry into the UN.

(Michael Turton came up with the "Let Taiwan be Taiwan in the UN!" and that sign alone has already made quite a few papers state-side. Its good and I love how it has double meanings.

i went to the rally in LA.. the organizers didn't get much press coverage though.. :(

but it was fun and hopefully worthwhile..

i'm in the orange county area and can always help out a good cause like this. let me know when something happens in southern california or there is a financial cause i can contribute to.

I think the New York rally for UN membership is just absolutely phenomenal. The beloved Goddess of the Sea, Matsu, was even brought over by her followers (the first in 400 years) to New York to represent the gods' will to fight for Taiwan's international status.

Religious view aside. But this really represent the strength and how far people are willing to go to seek for freedom. Very courageous and inspirational.
